'The Flash' led by Ezra Miller had an ordinary opening day in India, where the film minted around Rs 4.15 crores net on its opening day. The film was also a Thursday release and was not able to get the benefit of the Weekend, and now will have to face sheer competition with Om Raut's 'Adipurush.'
The film was fortunate to receive no competition on day 1, however, since the second day, the film will witness a sheer drop in numbers, and it hopes to collect a good number over its first weekend.
'The Flash' opened up to lesser numbers than 'Spider-Man: Across The Spiderverse' in India where the animated format of the 'Spider-Man' film gave a little edge and was supported by the Indian moviegoers.
'The Flash' could have opened up to a better start, but had its slower pace where the opening of 'The Flash' however is better than 'Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts.' 'Fast X' however retains its number one position while 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantunmania', 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3', and 'John Wick: Chapter 4' now have taken the second, third, and fourth spots respectively in India.
'The Flash' is projected to witness an opening of less than 150 million dollars worldwide, where over 50 percent of the film's takings are from the USA and Canada. The domestic competition for the film is also fierce with a ton of competing releases fighting for screens and audiences as well.
'The Flash' will also be the biggest box office earner for the week but that was not the deal with 'Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts', 'Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse' and 'The Little Mermaid' in their coming weeks. 'The Flash' features Ezra Miller in the lead and is directed by Andrés Muschietti.
