Since then, fans have been waiting for its OTT release. The makers or any OTT platform is yet to confirm its online release date due to unsold digital rights. Initially, there were rumours that Disney+ Hotstar had acquired the rights of Aadujeevithan and planned a streaming debut on May 26. However, recent reports indicate that the creators are focusing on an Oscars campaign, which is influencing their current release strategy.
According to A B George, a trade analyst and film critic, sources close to the production reveal that the OTT rights deal for 'Aadujeevitham' is still pending. The delay is attributed to the fact that the makers have already struck a deal with a major studio for an Oscar campaign. This strategic move involves various aspects that need finalisation before proceeding with OTT and satellite deals. George emphasised that 'Aadujeevitham' isn't merely intended for a theatrical release followed by standard sales; rather, it's positioned for broader recognition and strategic distribution planning.
