WAVES 2025: The prestigious summit organised is currently taking at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre. The first session of the prestigious summit titled ‘Legends & Legacies: The Stories that Shaped India's Soul’, was held today. It features Chiranjeevi, Hema Malini, Mithun Chakraborty, Rajinikanth and Mohanlal. During the session, Chiranjeevi talked about his passion that helped his rising career. The legendary actor shared that how Mithun Chakraborty and Amitabh Bachchan inspired him during his initial days of his career.

Chiranjeevi said, “My aim is yes, I should hit the bullseye, and then what is that I can offer, what is that extra I can showcase my abilities to become a star. Then I started sourcing inspiration from my contemporary people. Now Mithun Dada (Chakraborty) is here. In 1977, I was a student in a film institute. I have seen that Mrigayaa and he won the National Award for his acting in it. It is so natural and he did a fantastic job. There were artists that time putting a lot of makeup. I thought to myself that I should not put makeup. I should look very much natural. People should feel I’m next-door boy. That kind of image I should bring. So I drew inspiration from Mithun Chakravarty that time. I also took inspiration from the great Amitabh Bachchan. For dancing, I took inspiration from Kamal, my senior. I moulded myself.” The session has been moderated by Akshay Kumar.

Coming back to Waves 2025, the summit is a four-day event which is taking place at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. It has been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kartik Aaryan had an opening speech at the event.
