BLACKPINK is currently one of the most popular K-pop groups in the world and their fan following is increasing day by day. The group recently celebrated their 7th debut anniversary and fans are wondering if BLACKPINK will renew their contract or not. It was earlier reported that Lisa might leave the group but BLACKPINK's agency YG Entertainment said that they are currently discussing the contract renewal terms. The agency has now issued the official statement regarding the contract renewal in their quarterly reports.
YG Entertainment stated, "As of the disclosure date, negotiations for a new exclusive contract with the artists are in progress. The final results will be announced through subsequent disclosures of key management matters related to investment decisions."
It was earlier reported that Lisa was offered around $40 million to renew her contract with YG Entertainment but rejected it. Talking about Lisa's contract renewal, the agency said, "We are still discussing contract renewals with Lisa. The rumours that are going around are nothing that is confirmed."

BLACKPINK recently ended their 'Bornpink World Tour' in Seoul and the concert tour was a huge success. The concert was started in October 2022 and then went on to perform in North America, Europe, and Asia. BLACKPINK also broke the record for the highest-grossing concert by a group in history. The members launched their game 'BLACKPINK The Game' and released their song 'The Girls' to create more hype around the game.
Talking about their individual career, Jisoo made her solo album debut with 'Flower' which became a chartbuster. 'Flower' topped the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart in 57 countries including the United States, North and South America, Europe and Asia.
Jennie recently released her song 'You & Me' and collaborated with The Weekend and Lily Rose-Depp for the song 'One Of The Girls' which was featured in her show 'The Idol'. The show premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and Jennie also made her Cannes debut with 'The Idol' star cast. She said, "It’s overwhelming, but I’m grateful and thankful. All of those things at the same time. Especially as it’s the first step in my acting career, I was honoured to be able to come.”
Lisa became the first K-pop artist to perform at the prestigious Crazy Horse Paris Art Theatre in France, which is a popular Parisian cabaret known for its stellar stage performances featuring female dancers.
