Yash’s Toxic Teaser Controversy: The teaser of Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups was released on January 8, coinciding with the actor’s birthday. Since then, the teaser has remained a major talking point on social media. While fans praised the visuals and Yash’s screen presence, one intimate scene sparked widespread debate and controversy online. Soon after the teaser dropped, the female actor seen in the intimate sequence began trending across platforms, with viewers eager to know her identity. Director Geetu Mohandas later confirmed through her Instagram story that the actress is Beatriz Taufenbach.

Who Is Beatriz Taufenbach?

According to reports, Beatriz Taufenbach is a Brazilian model and actress who began her modelling career in 2014. Over the years, she has also worked as an actress and is known to be a singer as well. Following the teaser’s release, her name gained massive attention, especially after the controversial scene divided opinion on the internet. However, amid the growing backlash, Beatriz’s Instagram account now appears inactive. When checked recently, her profile was no longer accessible, suggesting that the actress may have deleted or deactivated her account.

Yash’s Toxic Teaser Under Scanner After Complaints Filed

The intimate scene in the teaser has drawn criticism from multiple quarters. A social activist, Dinesh Kallahalli, filed a formal complaint with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), objecting to what he described as inappropriate content. In the complaint addressed to CBFC chairperson Prasoon Joshi, Kallahalli stated that the teaser contains "scenes that are grossly obscene, sexually explicit, and vulgar in nature." He further said, "The said trailer is being widely circulated on various social media platforms without any effective restriction, thereby exposing the general public, including minors and young persons, to content that is legally impermissible and socially harmful." The activist urged the CBFC to review the teaser and take necessary action, including removing the scenes and restricting its circulation.

Toxic stars Yash in the lead role and features a star-studded cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria. The film is directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by KVN Productions along with Monster Mind Creations. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026, where it will clash at the box office with Dhurandhar Part 2.

As of now, the makers of Toxic have not issued any official statement regarding the complaints or the controversy surrounding the teaser.
