Amrit Bharat Express Trains Launched: The Indian Railways has announced three new Amrit Bharat trains on the Tambaram-Santragachi, Tiruchirapalli-New Jalpaiguri, and Nagercoil-New Jalpaiguri routes. The Railway Board has formally announced the train timings.

The new Amrit Bharat Express will have eight sleeper and 11 second-class seating coaches. The train will also have a dedicated coach for disabled passengers and a pantry car. The Amrit Bharat trains are a cheaper alternative to the premium Vande Bharat trains. Unlike the AC chair car coaches of Vande Bharat, the Amrit Bharat trains do not have any AC coaches.
