Andhra Horror: A woman in Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool district reportedly killed her son with the help of her lover after he raised questions on their relationship. As per the officials, the incident took place in Adoni town, adding that it remained hidden for several weeks. The accused tried to mislead the investigation by giving fake information and misleading the officials. However, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) uncovered the truth after weeks of investigation, reported NDTV.
While providing details, the officials stated that Gangamma, the accused, filed a complaint of a missing person reportedly to mislead the investigation. The officials stated that several facts did not match their statements during the probe, leading to suspicions.
"The accused tried to project the case as a missing person complaint. During the investigation, several facts did not match their statements. Scientific evidence and witness accounts helped us uncover the truth," a police officer was quoted as saying by NDTV.
Veerendra, the victim, had objected to their relationship and exposed their relations in front of the relatives and locals. The officials stated that the victim was allegedly murdered and his body was secretly buried in a graveyard.

In a separate incident in Gujarat, a man allegedly sold his wife for Rs 50,000 to get rid of her after 12 years of marriage. The police arrested the prime accused and six others as the woman was reportedly raped and sexually assaulted after being sold.
The officials stated that the matter came to light during the investigation for a missing person complaint filed earlier by her husband, reported the news agency PTI. Jignesh Gamit, deputy superintendent of police, stated that the accused had approached police on May 11 and claimed that his wife suddenly went missing from Palanpur city.
