AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi reiterated that the religious identity of Hindus was asked before killing them, while he slammed Pakistani leaders' warmongering rhetoric after the Pahalgam terror attack. The AIMIM chief on Sunday likened it to the terrorist group ISIS.

He said, "Which religion are you talking about? You are worse than the Khawarij. This act shows you are the successors of ISIS."

Warning the neighbouring country of retaliation, Owaisi also took a jibe, asking it not to show eagerness to enter a military conflict with India or threaten a nuclear war.

Owaisi said, "They (Pakistan) are not half an hour, but half a century behind India. Our military budget is bigger than your national budget. Pakistani leaders should not threaten India of a nuclear war. They should remember that if they kill innocent people in another country, no one will remain silent."

His remarks came in the wake of Pakistan Minister Hanif Abbasi's openly nuclear retaliation threat to India, warning that Pakistan's arsenal - including missiles and 130 nuclear warheads - has been kept 'only for India.'

Pakistani leaders are irked by the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty by India. They have time and again warned that it would invite dire consequences. Earlier, Pakistani leader Bilawal Bhutto had said that either water will flow or blood in the Indus River.

Nevertheless, Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif also threatened an "all-out" war in case of retaliation by India to the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 civilian lives.

Meanwhile, he also advised PM Modi that Kashmir is obviously an integral part of India, but Kashmiris should also be embraced as our own people.

"I would also like to say to our Prime Minister that, just like Kashmir is an integral part of India, so are Kashmiri people," Owaisi said.
