Mukhtar Ansari Death: The last audio conversation between gangster Mukhtar Ansari and his son Umar Ansari has gone viral on social media. According to police officials, the audio of the last phone call made to his family before his demise is yet to be verified. "I cannot sit, I cannot stand. If Allah keeps me alive, the soul will live, else the body will go," Ansari purportedly said as quoted by Times of India.

The audio of the conversation is said to be from a few hours before the death. In the audio, Umar starts the conversation. He asks, Papa, are you okay? Mukhtar replies yes. As the conversation continued, Mukhar said he was unable to observe Roza and could offer namaz only once a day. "I have become very weak. I can't even sit properly. The body moves but the soul stays here," the UP gangster told his son.

He described himself as being in a wheelchair from which he could not move. In the alleged conversation, Mukhtar also claimed that he had not passed stool for the last 10 days. When Umar talks about meeting his father, Mukhtar asks him to come after a few days as he has no control over his body. To which, Umar is heard saying that it is the effect of the "poison".

According to the autopsy report, Mukhtar Ansari died of cardiac arrest. However, Ansari's younger son Umar claimed that his father was given poison in the food. Gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari died at a hospital in Banda Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. Days after breathed his last at a medical college in Banda district, Mukhtar Ansari was laid to rest at the Kali Bagh cemetery in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur on Saturday. Mukhtar has reportedly been buried next to his mother's grave.
