Bengal Weather News: The majority of the areas in West Bengal are expected to take a break from torrential rainfall, as the India Meteorological Department has anticipated light and scattered rain in major parts of the state.
According to the Alipore weather centre of IMD, scattered rain will continue in the districts of South Bengal and Kolkata as the monsoon is still active. However, as heavy rainfall took a break in the region, comparatively hotter weather has been experienced.
- There is a possibility of rain with thundershowers in some parts of Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, North and South 24 Parganas, East and West Midnapore and Jhargram.
- Districts in North Bengal are expected to experience heavy rainfall on Sunday.

Kolkata Weather Today
- The weather office predicts that Kolkata may see scattered showers and thunderstorms on Sunday, accompanied by gusty winds reaching 30-40 km/h in some areas.
- The minimum temperature in Kolkata this morning was 28.6 degrees Celsius. Which is 2.1 degrees Celsius higher than the normal temperature.
- The maximum temperature of the day yesterday afternoon was 30.8 degrees Celsius. Which is 1.9 degrees Celsius higher than the normal temperature.
Bengal Weather Forecast: Low Pressure Looms
- Low pressure is likely to form in the northwest and west-central Bay of Bengal on Monday. The low pressure on the Odisha Andhra coast is located over Chhattisgarh and is likely to move towards Gujarat. The low pressure is less likely to directly affect West Bengal.
- The weather department has anticipated rain on Monday; however, there is no alert, indicating that the intensity will possibly remain light.
- Thunderstorms with rain and gusty winds are expected in all districts, including Kolkata, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

- The intensity of rainfall is expected to get very light from Thursday.
