Bengaluru News: A video has gone viral from Bengaluru in which a migrant woman can be seen hitting a local auto driver with a slipper. Pankhuri Mishra, the accused, physically assaulted the auto driver after his auto reportedly had a minor collision with her scooter. The viral video shows that while the woman hit the driver with a slipper after an argument, he remained silent and recorded the act. A case was registered against the accused and her husband after pro-Kannada groups staged a massive protest outside the Bellandur police station.

However, the woman later issued an apology and stated that she is pregnant and felt insecure after the collision. The incident reportedly took place outside the Centro Mall in Bellandur on Saturday, leading to the controversy.

The auto driver later filed a complaint after the video went viral, demanding strong action against the accused. While providing details, the auto driver stated that his auto and the scooter had a minor collision, adding that the couple went aggressive after he pointed out the incident.

He further stated that while Mishra started the argument and later hit him with a slipper, his husband recorded the video. The driver also stated that he did not respond to the violent acts and recorded the incident for proof. Earlier on Sunday, the accused appeared before the police and claimed that the auto driver had behaved inappropriately, leading to the incident.

The police officials stated that the accused's statement has been recorded, adding that the investigation will continue to figure out the exact reason behind the incident. However, the accused later issued an apology by stating that she felt insecure due to her pregnancy. She also stated that she loves Bengaluru and its people, urging the auto driver to forgive her.
