Bengaluru Namma Metro Update: The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is reportedly planning to introduce the fourth trainset on the Yellow line in the second week of September. While providing details, the officials stated that the fourth train will significantly provide relief to the passengers, as they will no longer need to wait for 25 minutes between two trains. The authority stated that mainline testing of the new train has already begun and it will be available for the public from the second week of September. While the yellow line has provided relief to the commuters, especially thousands of IT commuters, the passengers have expressed disappointment over the timings and frequency.

Earlier on Sunday, the BMRCL informed that the yellow line has been carrying more than 60,000 passengers on a daily basis. The authority stated that the ridership is at its peak during the morning and evening hours as thousands of the IT commuters are opting for the metro rides to cut their travel time. It also stated that the lower number of trains has propelled the authority to start services on the yellow line at 6.30 am, adding that the services on the other lines begin at 5 am.
