Bengaluru Power Cut: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced power cuts in multiple areas near Jalahalli on May 10, Sunday in view of emergency maintenance work.

The supply which has been going on since 8 am will continue until 6 pm. As per an official release, work is being carried out at the 66/11 KV KHB substation limits of KPTCL, Jalahalli and Soladevanahalli divisions.\

Bengaluru Power Cut Areas

Affected areas include - Garuda Mall, Puttenahalli, Pavani Residency, Scintilla Apartment, Yelahanka Industrial Area, Prestige Garden, Chikkabommasandra, Allalasandra, Yelahanka 'B' Section, JPN Colony, Doddaballapur Main Road, Chitra Layout, Attur Layout and places around BMTC Puttenahalli.

Other affected areas include - Tarabanahalli, Huruli Chikkanahalli, TB Cross, Hesaraghatta, Bilijaji, Dwarakanagar, Chikkabanavara, Maruthi, Shanthinagar, Brothers Colony, Krishna College Road, Madappanahalli, Kalenahalli, Shivakote village and surrounding locations.

In another update, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also stated that strong surface wind is likely in the North Interior Karnataka districts at least till May 11. Apart from this, the capital city Bengaluru is also likely to witness light rain, along with a gentle breeze.

While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 33 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is set to remain around 23 degrees Celsius. The continuous rainfall is expected to lead to waterlogging in several key regions, leading to inconvenience to the daily commuters.
