A 41-year-old man, identified as Bheemesh Babu, a resident of Chitradurga district, was killed by his colleague at a rented office in Bengaluru in the wee hours of Saturday. A feud between the two over the switching of lights led to the gruesome attack.

The incident took place at approximately 1:30 am at Data Digital Bank's office. The company specialises in storing daily footage from movie shoots.

What Was The Incident?

According to the police, the incident escalated into a fatal attack between two night-shift staffers over an argument about lights being switched off. Subsequently, in a fit of rage, the accused, 24-year-old Somala Vamshi from Vijayawada, allegedly struck his colleague, Bheemesh, on the forehead with a dumbbell, killing him instantly.

Following the gruesome incident, Vamshi walked to the nearby police station in Govindraj Nagar and surrendered. The police officers have registered a murder case against Vamshi and taken him into custody. Further investigation is underway, the police added.

Kerala Woman Hacked To Death On Facebook Live

In a separate incident, a 39-year-old woman from Kerala was allegedly hacked to death by her husband, who later announced the murder on Facebook Live, at Koothanadi near Punalur.

The deceased was identified as Shalini, a resident of Koothanadi, Placheri, Valakkodu, Kollam. Her husband, Isaac, later surrendered at the Punalur police station.

According to the FIR, the couple had marital issues, police said. “At around 6.30 am, when Shalini went near the pipeline behind the kitchen to take a bath, the accused attacked her with a knife, inflicting deep injuries on her neck, chest, and back,” the FIR read.

Soon after committing the crime, Isaac went live on Facebook, admitting to the murder and making allegations of distrust and misappropriation of jewellery against Shalini. He later reached the police station and informed the cops about murdering his wife.

The police team soon reached the house and found Shalini dead. A police official said that Shalini's body was later shifted to the hospital.
