Bengaluru News: A radiologist at a private scanning centre in Bengaluru’s Anekal area has been accused of sexually harassing a woman during a medical scan. The woman approached the Anekal police station with a detailed complaint, stating that the technician, identified as Jayakumar, behaved inappropriately while carrying out her abdominal examination.
According to the complaint, the woman had visited the centre with her husband due to stomach pain. During the scan, the accused allegedly touched her in an inappropriate manner and behaved in a way that made her uncomfortable. She confronted him immediately, but he allegedly responded with threats and abusive language, warning her not to raise the issue.
The woman later said she managed to record parts of the incident on her mobile phone while the scan was underway. The video clips were submitted to the police along with her written statement. An FIR has been filed in the case, though the radiologist has not yet been arrested.
In another incident reported from Bengaluru, a specially-abled woman was allegedly targeted in an attempted sexual assault at her home in MR Nagar under the Audugodi police limits. The incident took place on November 9.

Police said the accused, identified as Vignesh alias Dadu, was allegedly under the influence of marijuana when he forced his way into the house by breaking the latch. The woman, who has difficulty speaking and walking, was alone at the time. Her mother returned from a wedding function to find her daughter partially undressed and the accused hiding near the door.
She immediately alerted neighbours, who rushed to the house, caught the man, and handed him over to the police after beating him up. The investigation into both cases is under way.
