Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Ahead of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar's visit to Bengaluru on Monday, the city's traffic police have issued a traffic advisory, prohibiting vehicle parking in several key areas of the central business district. The restrictions will be in place from 11:30 am to 8 pm, affecting major thoroughfares in city. Commuters have been urged to avoid these roads and take alternative routes during the VVIP's tour.

According to the announcement, the Vice President is scheduled to visit Raj Bhavan and attend the Foundation Day celebrations of the ICMR-National Institute of Traditional Medicine (NITM) in Belagavi. He will also grace the 14th Convocation of KLE University and tour the CSIR-NAL Belur Campus to witness an exhibition of LCA components and SARAS.
Meanwhile, the Bengaluru police have also cautioned motorists to ensure that their Vehicles are in good condition before venturing out. "Traffic congestion often occurs due to vehicle breakdowns, either from fuel depletion or poor mechanical condition," the authorities warned, adding that strict action will be taken against owners who bring unfit vehicles onto the roads.
Bengaluru: Parents Of Offending Minor To Be Booked
Furthermore, the Bengaluru Police Commissioner, B Dayananda, has announced a crackdown on underage drink-driving, wheelies and other traffic violations. In such cases, the parents of the offending minors will be booked under the Juvenile Justice Act, which the commissioner described as a "non-bailable offence" that could result in jail time for the guardians.
