Bengaluru Weather Today: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms on Monday, 8 September 2025, during the afternoon or evening. Heavy rains have already left several major routes in India’s IT hub waterlogged, causing severe traffic disruptions. Residents in low-lying areas have been hit the hardest, with ground floors flooded as water rushed in.

Daily commuters are expected to face long traffic snarls during peak hours. Notably, while forecasts had predicted only about 20 mm of rainfall between September 1 and 15, the city has already recorded 60-85 mm in the first week alone, nearly three to four times more than expected.
