Chennai Power Cut Saturday: In the wake of regular maintenance and repair work, the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) has announced a shutdown in multiple locations in Chennai on Saturday, November 22. According to TANGEDCO's announcement, the power will be resumed before 5 pm if the works are completed before the schedule.

The power cut will affect several neighbourhoods within Nungambakkam.

College Road 33/11 kV. As five 33.kv old breakers are to be removed and new breakers are to be installed as an urgent and essential work at the substation, College Road, Nungambakkam Highway, Moores Road, K.N.K. Road, Wallace Garden 1 to 3rd Street, Rutland Gate 1 to 6th Street, Subbarao Avenue 1 to 3rd Street, Anderson Road, Haddos Road 1, 2nd Street, Nawab Habibullah 1, 2nd Avenue, Bycrofty Garden Street.

MGR Salai, Santhiappan Salai, Kothandaraman Street, Perungudi, OMR, Kamarajar Nagar, Kurijni Nagar, Anna Nedunj Salai, Nehru Nagar, Kottivakkam, Srinivasa Nagar, Jayendra Colony, Thiruvalluvar Street, Karpaga Vinayagar Street, Telephone Nagar, Church Road, CBI Colony, and above all, the surrounding areas are under the impact of power outage in Chennai.

The weather in Tamil Nadu is likely to remain rainy for the coming few days, with anticipation of heavy rainfall across 10 districts today.
