Dehradun District Floods: Visuals showed the extent of damage across Uttarakhand's Dehradun after heavy rain in Karligarh Sahastradhara area on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday triggered flash floods. Around 100 people trapped in the area were rescued safely by villagers, while two people are still missing.

Tamsa river is in full spate as heavy rainfall lashes Dehradun. One to two feet of debris has accumulated in the Tapkeshwar Mahadev Shivalinga complex, and there has been a lot of damage in the temple premises.

River Sahastradhara is also in spate and videos showed debris collected around the main market, causing damage to hotels and shops.

The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rescued three people after the Chandrabhaga River in Rishikesh district swelled following heavy rains since Tuesday morning, causing water to reach the highway and prompting authorities to urge residents to remain cautious near rivers and streams.

Visuals of the Dehradun-Haridwar highway also showed the extent of the damage in the district. The bridge near Fun Valley and Uttarakhand Dental College was damaged from the fast flowing water.
