Delhi AQI Today: A thick layer of smog continued to engulf the national capital on Monday, with several areas recording Air Quality Index (AQI) within the ‘very poor’ category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the city’s overall AQI stood at 360 at 6:05 AM, placing it in the ‘very poor’ range.

Of the 38 monitoring stations, six stations had reported an AQI above 400, while the remaining 32 stations recorded AQI in the ‘very poor’ category.

Six Stations Breach ‘Severe’ Mark

The six monitoring stations that recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) above the ‘severe’ threshold of 400 at 6:05 AM were:

- Bawana: 427

- DTU: 403

- Jahangirpuri: 407

- Narela: 406

- Rohini: 404

- Wazirpur: 401

An AQI between 0-50 is considered “good", 51-100 “satisfactory", 101-200 “moderate", 201-300 “poor", 301-400 “very poor", and 401-500 “severe”, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

Delhi Weather Today

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the national capital experienced a significant drop in temperature on Monday, with the minimum temperature plummeting to 9 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 25 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels likely to remain between 65 and 80.

However, the weather department has forecast ‘moderate fog’ for Monday and the entire week, with no warning in place as of now.
