Delhi Blast: In a major update in the Delhi blast case, acting over inputs from accused Dr Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie, investigators have traced the chemicals used in the car explosion to a supplier in Faridabad’s NIT Nehru Ground.
On November 10, a high-intensity blast ripped through a car near Red Fort in Delhi, killing 13 people and injuring several others, hours after the busting of a "white collar terror module". The arrested included doctors linked to Al-Falah University.
The chemicals used in the blast were from a licensed outlet BR Scientific and Chemicals, owned by Lal Babu. NIA conducted raids here on Thursday, reported Times of India.
Meanwhile, on Thursday night, the NIA team also visited Al-Falah University along with Dr Shaheen Shahid. At the university, they conducted one-on-one questioning of everyone Shaheen had interacted with. Following this, Shaheen was taken to Khori Jamalpur village, where she had lived in a three-bedroom house after marrying Dr Muzammil, jagran.com reported.
The team also questioned the university’s Vice Chancellor, Bhupendra Kaur, in Shaheen’s presence. Over the next four hours, Shaheen was taken to several other locations before being brought back to Delhi. She is accused of establishing a terror module linked to anti-national activities.
Earlier, accused Muzammil had revealed to the investigating agencies that Dr Shaheen is his wife and they were formally married at a mosque near the Al-Falah University in 2023. Earlier it was known that Shaheed was Muzammil’s girlfriend.
Muzammil said they were a couple and had their ‘nikah’ performed at a mosque near the Al-Falah University in September 2023. In accordance to Sharia law, a 'mehr' of Rs 5,000-6,000 was decided.
