Delhi Building Collapse: In a tragic incident, at least 11 people got injured after a building collapsed in Delhi's Mukundpur reportedly due to gas cylinder blast. The officials, while providing details, stated that several people were safely rescued from the spot. The initial probe suggests that the explosion occurred due to a gas cylinder blast; however, the exact reason is not known yet. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital where they are being treated.

In a statement, the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) stated that five fire tenders have rushed to the spot, adding that the situation is being assessed by the emergency teams.

"Delhi Fire Service received a call at 9:37 a.m. about a suspected blast and subsequent house collapse in Mukundpur. Five fire tenders were rushed to the spot, and emergency teams are assessing the situation. Further details are awaited," the DFS said.

Earlier on Saturday, a five-storey building collapsed in South Delhi's Saket area, leading to deaths of two people. In a post on X, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said, "Deeply concerned by the building collapse incident near Saket Metro Station".

"Teams from NDRF, Delhi Fire Services, Delhi Police, DDMA, MCD, CATS and Civil Defence are carrying out rescue operations on a war footing. Every possible effort is being made to safely rescue those trapped and provide immediate assistance to the affected families," she added.
