Katra Vande Bharat Express: The Railway Board has temporarily changed the route of the high-speed Katra Vande Bharat Express as part of ongoing infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving rail operations. The Railways is currently upgrading signalling systems at multiple locations, with non-interlocking work underway at Mohri and Shahbad Markanda in Haryana.

According to Jagran.com, railway officials said the exercise is being carried out to install new electronic interlocking panels and enhance safety across the network.

Due to this work, train movement on the Delhi-Ambala rail section will be affected this week, leading to the diversion of several trains, including Vande Bharat services operating between Delhi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, and other destinations.

  • 22447/22448 New Delhi-Amb Andaura Vande Bharat Express
  • 12013/12014 New Delhi-Amritsar Vande Bharat Express

Revised Route for Katra Vande Bharat Train Express

From June 2 to June 6, instead of operating via the New Delhi-Ambala section, the New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express (22439/22440) and New Delhi-Amb Andaura Vande Bharat Express (22447/22448) will run via New Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut City-Saharanpur before reaching Ambala.

Similarly, the New Delhi-Amritsar Vande Bharat Express (12013/12014) and the New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Shri Shakti AC Express (22461/22462) will also operate on this diverted route until June 6.
