Twisha Sharma Death Case: Amid the ongoing Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation into the Twisha Sharma death case, an incident of assault involving a witness has come to light. The victim has alleged that friends of the accused, Samarth Singh, beat him up on May 30.

33-year-old Twisha Sharma died on May 12 under suspicious circumstances at her marital home in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal. Her family has accused her husband, Samarth Singh, and mother-in-law, Giribala, of murder.

Both Parties File Complaint At Katara Hills Police Station

On assault allegations, the accused party claimed that the man entered their restaurant in an intoxicated state and created ruckus. Both parties have filed complaints at the Katara Hills police station. The police are currently investigating the matter.

According to a report by Naidunia, the witness has been identified as Neeraj Dubey. He operates a parlour near Giribala Singh's residence. The police had enlisted him as a witness during the recovery of evidence in the Twisha case.

On Saturday, he arrived in an intoxicated state at a restaurant situated in the same locality. When the staff asked him to leave, he created a scene. Neeraj alleged that the restaurant owner assaulted him specifically because he had served as a witness. He noted that the owner is a friend of Samarth.

The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed nearby.

Meanwhile, Station House Officer (SHO) Sunil Dubey stated that the restaurant owner had filed a complaint on Saturday itself regarding the nuisance created by Neeraj. The witness leveled these allegations before the police could summon him for questioning regarding that incident. A police investigation is underway.

On Monday, CBI recreated the death scene to inspect each angle of the case closely. To recreate the scene, the CBI took Samarth Singh along with Giribala Singh, to Twisha’s marital home, where she was found dead. The CBI carried an 80 kg mannequin, roughly approximating Twisha's weight, a noose and the belt purportedly used in the hanging as it reconstructed how Twisha was brought down.

A team, including a woman officer from the CBI, conducted a detailed survey of the house, questioned eyewitnesses present on May 12 and other house members and relatives, including Samarth's elder brother.
