Delhi Crime News: 3 food delivery riders beat a businessman to death with a helmet after an argument in Delhi's Connaught Place. A 36-year-old businessman, who went to a party in central Delhi's Connaught Place in early January, has not returned home since.
The businessman, Shivam Gupta, had been in a hospital fighting for his life for over two weeks after he was brutally beaten with helmets by 3 delivery boys over an argument. Gupts lost the battle of life on January 19, as he had suffered serious injuries.
As per the police, the accused used helmets to hit Gupta and left him bleeding on the pavement in the popular shopping area to die. Police are investigating CCTV footage of the area, and have taken Gupta's blood-stained clothes for forensics work. A case has been filed in related provisions. Two accused have been arrested while the search operation to trace the third one was on.

The incident occurred on January 3. The police said they found Gupta with critical injuries and immediately took him to a hospital after they received a call about an injured man lying on the pavement.
Gupta Sustained Critical Injuries To Head
Doctors discovered severe internal head injuries during the initial medical examination, rendering Gupta unable to provide any statement to police at the time. As a result, the motive for the brutal attack remained unclear in the immediate aftermath.
On January 4, he was transferred to another hospital, where surgeons operated on him the following day. His family initially remained hopeful for recovery, believing the procedure had stabilised him. However, Gupta succumbed to his injuries on January 19.
According to relatives, medical staff had described the head injury as potentially fatal. Still, there was hope in the days before January 19, as he had begun showing faint responses to voices and other stimuli.
Family Demands Stringent Action
"My son was my everything. Now, we only hope for justice. The culprits must be punished severely so that no one else's home is destroyed like this," Shivam's father, Anil Kant Gupta, said.
Anil Kant said his son left their Laxmi Nagar home on January 2 evening after telling them he would attend a party.
"I kept calling repeatedly, but there was no response. A short while later, I received a call from the police saying my son was hospitalised," the businessman's father said.
