Delhi Metro News: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday announced the renaming of three Metro stations. While attending a program organised on the arrival of the Rezang La Shaheed Pavitra Raj Kalash Yatra in Haidarpur village, the Chief Minister said that the names of three Metro stations have been changed to clearly reflect local identity and for the convenience of passengers.
Pitampura Metro Station will now be known by the name Madhuban Chowk. The under-construction Prashant Vihar Metro Station has been given the name North Pitampura/Prashant Vihar. Haidarpur Badli Mor has now been named Haidarpur Village.
Earlier, upon the arrival of the Rezang La Shaheed Pavitra Raj Kalash Yatra in Haidarpur, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the martyrs. She said that this sacred yatra is a powerful message that binds the entire country in the spirit of nation first. The soil of Haidarpur village is feeling blessed today that the sacred memory of brave martyrs has reached here.
DMRC Open All Gates Of Lal Qila Metro
After a high-intensity, deadly blast near the Red Fort Metro Station Gate Number 1 earlier this week, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation had partially suspended the service by closing Metro station gates.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has reopened two gates at Lal Quila Metro Station days after they were shut following the blast near the Red Fort that claimed 12 lives and injured several others. The gates were opened on Saturday.
