Two assailants allegedly stabbed a 25-year-old man in Delhi’s Nihar Vihar, leaving with multiple injuries on his neck and hand, police said on Sunday. The incident took place near Hanuman Mandir when Hashim, a resident of Nangloi was going somewhere on the road. The victim said that he was attacked by two men all of a sudden for an unknown reason. 

The man was rushed to a hospital by the locals and underwent treatment for his injuries. Police reached the incident spot after receiving a PCR call and have initiated an investigation to nab the assailants.

Police registered an FIR under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including  sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 34 (criminal act done by several persons in furtherance of the common intention). They are also examining the CCTV footage near the incident to know the sequence of the events.

In another incident, a woman was attacked by a pitbull and assaulted by the owner’s family in the Swaroop Nagar area of Delhi on Friday morning. The incident occurred after a dispute over the dog defecating in front of the woman’s house. The woman said that the pet owner instigated the dog to bite her, which left her with injuries.

Police have registered an FIR against the dog’s owner and have submitted the CCTV footage of the incident as evidence against the pet’s owner.
