The Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun Expressway features an elevated structure within the Delhi segment. The design starts near the Akshardham Metro Station, where it links up with the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. The elevated section is designed to facilitate high-speed movement and help commuters avoid traffic congestion within the national capital.
The Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun Expressway, built at an estimated cost of Rs 11,800 crore, will significantly benefit commuters, cutting travel time between Delhi and Dehradun to about two and a half hours. Earlier, the journey took four to six hours.
Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun Expressway To Be Inaugurated Soon
Following the commencement of the trial run, a formal inauguration of the Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun Expressway is expected soon. Officials are engaged in final testing and safety inspections. Once inaugurated, the Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun Expressway would significantly reduce travel time, providing significant relief to commuters and boosting Uttarakhand tourism.
