Delhi to Chennai Vande Bharat Sleeper Service: The Ministry of Railways is gearing up to launch the much-anticipated Vande Bharat Sleeper train soon, which will operate across its extensive network, including the Delhi to Chennai route. This new service is planned to run between Hazrat Nizamuddin and MGR Chennai Central stations.
The Hazrat Nizamuddin to Chennai Vande Bharat Sleeper will be the third premium train running on this route, joining the ranks of the Rajdhani Express and Duronto trains as reported by ET Now.
Covering approximately 2,174 km, the Vande Bharat Sleeper between New Delhi and Chennai is expected to complete the journey in under 27 hours. The train is designed to operate at a top speed of 160 km/h.
On its way from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Chennai, the train will stop at key stations such as Agra Cantt, Gwalior, V Lakshmibai Jhansi, Bhopal, Nagpur, Balharshah, Warangal, and Vijayawada Junction.
The Vande Bharat Sleeper from Delhi is scheduled to depart Hazrat Nizamuddin at around 4:35 pm, reaching MGR Chennai Central by 8:30 pm the following day. For the return trip, it will leave Chennai at 7:05 am and arrive in Delhi at 9:00 am the next day, according to Jagran.com.
This train will have a total of 16 coaches, including 11 AC 3-tier, 4 AC 2-tier, and 1 First Class AC coach. Ticket fares are expected to be approximately Rs 4,300 for AC 3-tier, Rs 5,800 for AC 2-tier, and around Rs 7,200 for First Class AC.
