Amid the ongoing Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued a fresh advisory, urging commuters to avoid areas under restrictions unless their visit is unavoidable.
The advisory stated that prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 are currently in force in notified areas to maintain public order and ensure safety.

App-Based Services Asked To Regulate Operations
Delhi Traffic Police has advised ride-hailing platforms, food delivery companies, quick-commerce services, logistics providers and other e-commerce operators to modify their operations in restricted zones.

The advisory mentioned that platforms may temporarily geo-fence affected locations or suspend rides and deliveries to and from these areas, wherever operationally possible.
The move aims to reduce unnecessary movement in sensitive zones and ensure the safety of drivers, delivery partners, commuters and the general public.
Commuters Advised To Plan Routes In Advance
Citizens have been asked to cooperate with police personnel, follow directions issued on the ground and use alternate routes wherever possible.
Traffic authorities advised motorists to remain patient, follow traffic rules and expect restrictions around key intersections due to the deployment of personnel.
18 Metro Stations Closed
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has announced that 18 metro stations will remain closed on Saturday. However, interchange facilities will remain available for passengers at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, and Central Secretariat stations, the DMRC said.
The stations that remain closed include ok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhambha Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh, Shivaji Stadium, Jhandewalan, and New Delhi.
The restrictions have disrupted the activity of the residents, with people facing heavy traffic at the nearby locations and excessive fares by e-rickshaws.

Schools Shift To Hybrid Mode
Due to tight security arrangements, traffic restrictions and frequent closure of metro stations in central Delhi, many schools have made changes in their study and transportation arrangements.
RS Junior Modern School, Humayun Road, among several others, has decided to conduct classes for students from nursery to class V in hybrid mode (offline and online) from July 24 till further orders.
Emergency Services To Continue
The Delhi Police clarified that essential services, including ambulances, fire services, authorised government vehicles and other exempted categories, will continue to operate as permitted.
Authorities have also appealed to citizens not to spread rumours or share unverified information and asked people to rely only on official updates.
The advisory will remain effective until the prohibitory orders are in force. Citizens can contact the Delhi Police helpline 112 in case of emergencies or assistance.
