Delhi Weather Update: With the minimum temperature reaching 30.4 degrees Celsius—three degrees above the season's average—Delhiites awoke to a pleasant Tuesday morning. The meteorological service noted a chance of very light rain and strong surface breezes, along with partly overcast skies and hot conditions for the day.
It stated that a maximum temperature of approximately 44 degrees Celsius is anticipated.
According to the meteorological department, the relative humidity at 8.30 AM was 43 percent.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that Delhi saw a high of 44.7 degrees Celsius on Monday, five degrees above usual, following a slight decrease in the maximum temperature. The IMD report states that the city experienced a maximum temperature of 42.8 degrees Celsius on Sunday and was under a yellow alert.
The following temperatures were recorded in Delhi by the other weather stations: 44.9 degrees Celsius at Ridge, 44.9 degrees Celsius at Palam, Aya Nagar 45.1 degrees Celsius, Najafgarh 46.9 degrees Celsius, and Narela 46.9 degrees Celsius.
On Monday, the relative humidity varied from 20 to 39 percent.
Isolated pockets within the National capital continued to grapple with heatwave conditions on Sunday, even as the city experienced a minor dip in temperature. The maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 42.8 degrees Celsius at the Safdarjung weather station, down from the 44.2 degree Celsius recorded a day earlier.
