Delhi Weather: The national capital has been put under a yellow alert as the India Meteorological Department has predicted generally cloudy skies with moderate rain in the city for Saturday. The city witnessed another spell of rainfall with 37 mm recorded by IMD in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature in the national capital settled at 32.6 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal, according to the weather department. A ‘yellow’ alert indicates bad weather conditions and the possibility that these conditions may worsen, causing disruptions to daily life. The humidity hovered between 100 per cent and 81 per cent during the day, according to weather data.
On Saturday, the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 32 and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively, as per the MeT department.
However, no further warnings are expected from Sunday onward, as rainfall intensity is predicted to decrease. Weather experts suggest that moisture levels will start to drop by Sunday, but isolated showers may still occur.
Delhi Weather: Weekly Forecast
From September 8 to 12, Delhi-NCR is expected to experience varied weather conditions. The temperature will range between a maximum of 35 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius.
On September 8, the sky will remain generally cloudy with light rain and thunderstorms. By September 9, partly cloudy skies with very light rain or thunderstorms are anticipated. The trend continues on September 10 and 11, with partly cloudy skies and the possibility of drizzles.

Winds will shift direction during this period, with speeds varying between 4-16 km/h. By September 12, the sky is expected to be generally cloudy, accompanied by light rain or thunderstorms.
Minor traffic disruptions, water accumulation, and other impacts could occur during these rainy days. Residents are advised to check traffic conditions and avoid waterlogged areas where possible.
