Delhi Weather Today: The Delhi-NCR region including Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram witnessed heavy rain accompanied by a dust storm on Tuesday morning leading to traffic snarls caused by waterlogging at multiple spos. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has now upgraded the rain warning from 'yellow' to 'orange'. As per the weather body, moderate rain accompanied by lightning, thunderstorms are likely during the next few hours.
-Light rain was reported from Jafrabad area in East Delhi.
-The Master Plan Road near Shastri Nagar was flooded amid heavy rain. Residents are facing difficulties due to severe waterlogging.
-The underpass near Pandav Nagar and the service road on NH-9 near Vinod Nagar was also waterlogged.
-Heavy rain also lashed Gurugram amid Ashtami celebrations. Streets of Cyber City were waterlogged.
The maximum temperature on Monday was recorded at 34.5 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature stood at 25.7 degrees Celsius.
According to IMD, due to the formation of a low pressure area in the Arabian Sea and blowing of north-westerly winds, the weather in Delhi-NCR is likely to remain generally variable and partly cloudy till October 3. During this period, there is a possibility of slight drop in day and night temperatures.
During this period, due to the arrival of moist winds from the Arabian Sea, there is a possibility of scattered drizzle in Rewari, Mahendragarh, Mewat, Palwal, Gurugram, Faridabad and surrounding areas on September 30.
