Amid chilling winters and fog, Air India has facilitated flyers to cancel or reschedule their bookings in case of major flight delays due to hazy weather in Delhi. No extra charge for this will be levied upon the passengers travelling from Delhi's IGI airport, the airline said in a statement. This came after hundreds of flights experienced delays due to dense fog in Delhi in the last few days.
Air India’s FogCare program was rolled out last year as the airline's commitment to passenger convenience during adverse weather conditions.

"The FogCare initiative is a sincere effort to minimise inconvenience to guests whose flights are likely to get affected by fog. It will also help maintain network schedule integrity," Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer of Air India, said in a release quoted by India TV.
The dense fog in Delhi NCR has led to extremely poor visibility. Many trains have also been cancelled and delayed.
Delhi Airport issued an advisory asking passengers to contact the airline for updated flight information. "While landing and takeoffs continue at Delhi airport, flights that are not CAT III compliant may get affected. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted," the advisory stated.
