The Congress party will kick start its Lok Sabha poll campaign with “Hain Taiyaar Hum (we are ready)” rally in Maharashtra’s Nagpur on Thursday. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi will be among the key attendees. Besides, the Chief Ministers of three Congress-ruled states and their party chiefs will also be attending the rally.
Congress’ Maharashtra unit chief Nana Patole said they expected over 2,00,000 people to attend the rally.

Patole said the grand old party mulled over Nagpur to start their poll campaign as it was the centre of many movements and revolutions. He said the non-cooperation movement against Britishers was announced from Nagpur by the Congress Party.
“The current situation is similar, but this time it is due to the ruling party in the country. The BJP is working towards employment-free India. The Congress will try to restore people’s faith in democracy,” Patole said.
Notably, Nagpur is the headquarters of Rashtriya Swayemsevak Sangh (RSS), which is a BJP ideologue organisation.
"The rally, with the theme 'Hain Tayyar Hum' (we are ready), will send a good message throughout the country. The Congress will sound the bugle for the Lok Sabha polls due next year," party MLA from Nagpur Nitin Raut told PTI on Tuesday.
