Gulmarg Travel Advisory:  In order to protect commuters traveling along the Gulmarg-Tangmarg road during the impending winter, the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gulmarg has issued a thorough winter travel advisory. Heavy snowfall and slick roads, which frequently cause accidents and traffic jams, were the reasons behind the advisory's issuance.

According to the advisory, Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) with ten seats or fewer are permitted to maintain smooth traffic flow, while only 4x4 vehicles and those with anti-skid chains are permitted to proceed on the route until the ice melts.

The installation of anti-skid chains on automobiles is permitted for vendors who have registered with the authorities.

To prevent traffic jams, these vendors must only operate in parking lots that have been authorised for that purpose.

The cost of each pair of anti-skid chains has been set at Rs 600. In order to avoid roadside congestion, tour companies and private vehicle owners are required to utilise Tangmarg's approved parking spots, according to the advisory.

Similarly, in an effort to draw tourists, coat and boot merchants have been told not to overcrowd highways, which frequently results in traffic bottlenecks.

In order to protect commuters and visitors during the severe winter months, the SDM emphasised the need of strictly adhering to these rules.

Additionally, the advisory promotes cooperation among travelers, local government officials, and service providers in order to preserve law and order and lessen travel-related annoyances in the region. Both residents and visitors have been asked to comply with the new rules in order to make traveling on this important route safe and hassle-free.
