In a tragic incident in Gurugram, a tractor driver was brutally shot dead in the late hours of Wednesday near a construction site in Subhash Chowk. The reports suggest that the deceased got involved in a verbal argument with a local shop vendor, leading to the incident. The tractor driver and shop owner allegedly got involved in a heated argument after the shop owner resisted the entry of the vehicle on the campus. The reports suggest that the drunk shop owner had called his friend after the argument, and his friend fired the bullet at the driver, leading to his death.

The incident happened while the driver was engaged in clearing the debris of the ongoing construction work at ILD Mall near Subhash Chowk. The police officials arrived at the site after the local labourers informed them about the incident. The officials stated that the shop owner and his friend are absconding after the incident, adding that a probe has been ordered into the case. While providing details, the officials stated that raids are being conducted in search of the accused.

It further stated that the deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Wasim, a resident of Bahrampur in Badshahpur. The deceased had reportedly gotten the contract to remove the debris of the construction work 15 days ago, and he got involved in a verbal argument with the local shop owner. While the locals admitted the then injured driver to the hospital, the doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

The officials stated that the body of the deceased has already been sent for postmortem, adding that the investigation is being conducted on the basis of CCTV footage installed around the crime scene. The police officials stated that they are also consulting the locals for the information regarding the case.
