Holi Special Trains: Passengers who are reeling from overbooking due to the festive rush of Holi can now have a sigh of relief, as the Indian Railways is set to run many special trains between Delhi and Kolkata. According to railway officials, there is already a huge rush for tickets on the Kolkata and New Delhi routes. Most of the regular trains are running at full capacity, with passengers either facing long waiting lists or regret in most of the trains. 

In such a situation, the operation of special trains will increase the chances of passengers getting confirmed tickets. The move is expected to benefit commuters of Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Barauni and areas of norther part of the state of Bihar.

Holi Special Trains Between West Bengal And Bihar

03043/03044 Howrah–Raxaul Special

  • Route: Leaving from Howrah, the train will travel via Sitamarhi, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Barauni and Jhajha before reaching Raxaul. 

  • Timings: This train will depart from Howrah at 23:05 hrs on February 28, March 7 and 14 (Fridays). On the return leg, it will depart from Raxaul at 17:45 hrs on March 1, 8 and 15 (Saturdays).

03045/03046 Howrah–Raxaul Special

  • Timing: The train will depart from Howrah at 23:05 on March 1st and 2nd (Sunday and Monday).

  • On the return leg, it will depart from Raxaul at 17:45 on March 2nd and 3rd (Monday and Tuesday).

03185/03186 Kolkata–Madhubani Special

  • Route: The train will run via Darbhanga, Samastipur, Barauni and Jhajha before reaching Madhubani

  • Timing: The train for Madhubani will depart from Kolkata on 27th February at 23:50 hours. 

  • On the return leg, the train will depart for Madhubani on 28th February at 15:30 hours.

Holi Special Trains For New Delhi

04054/04053 New Delhi–Barauni Special

  • Route: From Barauni, the train will travel via Gorakhpur, Chhapra and Hajipur before reaching New Delhi.

04060/04059 New Delhi–Supaul Special 

  • Roue: The train will originate from New Delhi station and will travel through Gorakhpur, Chhapra, Hajipur, Barauni, Mansi and Saharsa before reaching Supaul. 

04010/04009 Delhi–Sitamarhi–Delhi Special  

  • Route: Originating from the Old Delhi railway station, the train will travel through Gorakhpur, Narkatiyaganj and Raxaul before reaching Sitamarhi. 

Railway officials have urged passengers to check the train schedule well in advance and book their tickets to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.
