YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and influencer Apoorva Mukhija reached the office of the National Commission for Women (NCW) on Thursday as they were summoned for questioning in connection with India’s Got Latent controversy.
The women's panel issued summons to several content creators and influencers present in a controversial episode of the show, including Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, Jaspreet Singh, Ashish Chanchlani, Tushar Poojari, Saurabh Bothra, and Balraj Ghai, to appear last month. However, citing personal safety, pre-scheduled travel commitments, and logistical difficulties, none of the content creators showed up before the panel.
Ranveer Allahbadia did not come for the initial questioning, as the creator claimed that he was receiving death threats. Later, the content creator sought an extension of three weeks. Accepting his request, the panel granted him a new hearing date for March 6.

Instagram influencer Mukhija had also raised concerns over personal safety as she requested to appear virtually. However, the panel denied her request and demanded that she attend the questioning in person.
A controversy erupted on the YouTube show India’s Got Latent, run by content creator Samay Raina, after YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia made an offensive comment on parents and sex. Later, Allahbadia’s remark ignited widespread outrage, leading to several FIRs against the creators present during the show.
Earlier, teams of Mumbai and Assam police had reached Allahbadia’s home to record his statement. Ranveer Allahbadia, who is also known as BeerBiceps, released a statement the next day claiming that he was cooperating with authorities after the Mumbai and Assam police teams found his home locked.
