In a viral video, three unidentified men were seen committing a brazen theft at the residence of retired Justice Ramesh Garg in Indore’s upscale Vijay Nagar locality. The masked thieves made off with jewellery and cash worth over Rs 5 lakh in a meticulously planned heist that lasted just four minutes and ten seconds.

The incident occurred around 3:30 AM on Sunday, while the family was asleep. The trio broke the lock on the main gate and forcibly opened an almirah inside the house to steal the valuables. The burglars reportedly entered the premises by cutting through an iron window grill, despite the presence of a security guard outside.

CCTV footage of the crime has surfaced on social media, showing one of the men standing guard with a rod while the others ransacked the almirah. The home’s alarm system failed to alert Justice Garg’s son, Ritvik, allowing the thieves to escape without detection. Ritvik's wife and children remained asleep in another room, unaware of the ongoing burglary.

The incident has sparked concern in Vijay Nagar, a neighborhood known for its high-profile residents. The targeting of a retired justice’s home has intensified public outcry and added urgency to the police investigation.
