A 32-year-old man, Naveen Singh, from the Kardhani area of Jaipur, was arrested for the shocking murder of his 51-year-old mother, Santosh, following an argument over a disconnected WiFi connection and his failure to respond to reminders about an empty LPG cylinder.
The incident, which occurred on Monday, has sent shockwaves across social media. According to police, Santosh was attacked in the kitchen of their Arun Vihar home. Naveen’s father, Laxman Singh, a Delhi Police constable and former Army personnel, along with his daughters, tried to intervene but was unable to restrain him.

Kardhani SHO Sawai Singh said the body has been sent for postmortem to determine the exact cause of death. "It could be shock or a heart attack that led to her death, or it could be injuries from an assault. We are probing every angle," Singh said, adding that the accused is being questioned.
Viral Video Of The Incident
A video of the incident, now going viral on social media, shows Naveen repeatedly punching his mother. In a heart-wrenching scene, he continues the assault even after she collapses unconscious. He then strangles her and strikes her head with a stick. Despite desperate attempts by family members to stop him, the attack did not cease.
Alarmed by the commotion, locals alerted the police, who arrived swiftly and detained Naveen. Santosh, found unconscious and bleeding, was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries during treatment. Investigators suspect a severe head injury as the primary cause of death, though the post-mortem report is awaited.
Police stated that Naveen was severely addicted to alcohol and frequently quarreled with his mother. On Monday, tensions flared after she disconnected the Wi-Fi and scolded him when the LPG cylinder ran out. Enraged, Naveen attacked his mother, fatally assaulting her.
