Senior JD(S) leader and party MLA HD Revanna was remanded to police custody till May 8 by a city court on Sunday in connection with an alleged kidnapping and illegal confining of a woman case. Revanna is the son of former Prime Minister and JD(S) patriarch HD Deve Gowda. His arrest comes after his bail plea was rejected in a case related to kidnapping and illegally confining a woman who is the mother of three children.

The arrest came after an FIR was filed against 66-year-old Revanna based on a complaint by the woman's son on Thursday. The SIT was formed by the Karnataka government on the recommendation of the Karnataka State Commission for Women chief Nagalakshmi Chowdhary after a huge stock of obscene videos of Revanna's son, JD(S) MP from Hassan Prajwal Revanna went viral. Complaint Against HD Revanna

The victim's 20-year-old son filed a complaint STATING that HD Revanna's close aide, Sathish Babanna, abducted his mother on April 29 on a motorcycle, claiming that the JD(S) leader wanted to see her. The complaint was filed with the KR Nagar police.

Prajwal Revanna Booked Under Rape And Molestation Charges

Prajwal Revanna, the BJP-JD(S) candidate of Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, has been booked under charges of rape and molestation. A case against Revanna has been registered under sections 354A, 354D, 506, and 509 of the IPC on charges of sexual harassment, intimidation, and outraging the dignity of a woman. As per the complaint, the victim has claimed that Prajwal Revanna and his father HD Revanna had sexually assaulted her.

Total Three Cases Filed Against Father And Son

There are three FIRs registered in connection with the sexual abuse allegations, involving the father and son, in total. In the first case in Holenarasipura, the cook and relative of the Revannas complained that H D Revanna and his son Prajwal had molested her.

In the second complaint at CID Bengaluru, a JD(S) leader accused Prajwal of raping her at gunpoint, videographing the incident and then blackmailing her.

The third complaint is against HD Revanna pertaining to the abduction and illegal detention of a woman.

Blue Corner Notice Issued Against Prajwal Revanna

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) issued a Blue Corner Notice against the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda. The notice has been issued after the JDS leader who reportedly left for Germany a day after the Lok Sabha polls, failed to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the allegations.

HD Revanna Alleges 'Political Conspiracy'

Soon after being arrested by the Karnataka Police, JDS leader HD Revanna said on Sunday that a "political conspiracy" was being played against him. Revanna's remarks came as he was being taken for a medical examination during the day.
