Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several districts of Karnataka are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall in the upcoming days. The weather department further stated that along with the heavy rainfall, the coastal regions are also expected to experience thunderstorms and gusty winds. The continuous rainfall is likely to lead to waterlogging in the key cities, leading to inconvenience for the commuters. The IMD also stated that the rain will drop the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius in the upcoming days. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings.
While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts, including Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, South Interior Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Chamarajanagar, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Ramanagara, Mandya, Mysore, Kodagu, Tumkur, Hassan, and Chikkamagaluru, are set to witness moderate to heavy rainfall in the upcoming days. The IMD stated that these districts will witness rainfall due to the formation of a cyclone in the Bay of Bengal.
The residents of the capital city Bengaluru are also set to witness light to moderate rainfall in the upcoming days. Along with the rainfall, the tech city is set to experience gentle breezes and cloudy skies, especially in the morning hours. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 27 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is set to remain around 18 degrees Celsius.
The continuous rainfall will lead to waterlogging in several key regions, leading to inconveniences for the commuters. However, the IMD stated that several districts, including Belgaum, Bidar, Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Haveri, Gadag, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Bellary, Raichur, Yadgiri, and Vijayanagara, are likely to witness dry weather conditions.
Along with Karnataka, several other states, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana, are also likely to witness moderate to heavy rain in the upcoming days.
