Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several districts of Karnataka are likely to witness a sharp drop in temperature in the upcoming days. The weather department stated that the coastal regions are set to receive light to moderate rain, along with thunderstorms and lightning. Apart from this, the capital city Bengaluru is also expected to witness light rain till Monday. The residents are also likely to witness cold waves and mist in the early hours of the day, leading to inconveniences. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid inconveniences.
While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts, including Belgaum, Bidar, Vijayapura, Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Mandya, Mysore, Chikkamagaluru, and Shivamogga, are likely to witness a sharp drop in temperature in the next two to three days. The IMD stated that the minimum temperature in these regions is expected to drop by two to four degrees Celsius in the upcoming days. The residents are also set to experience mist in the early hours of the day, severely affecting the visibility.

Apart from this, the IMD stated that light rain is expected in the coastal areas of Mangaluru, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada districts. It further stated that the minimum temperature in these districts is expected to remain between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius. The capital city, Bengaluru, is also likely to witness light rain, along with gentle breezes and cloudy skies on Monday.
While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 28 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 17 degrees Celsius. The continuous rainfall is likely to lead to waterlogging in the lower regions of the state, leading to inconveniences. The weather department stated that several other states, including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh, are also likely to witness rain.
