  1. Siya gave Rs 1 crore to lover Chetan.
  2. Fiancée's abnormal airport behavior, Bali trip cancelled.
  3. Murder plot involved signal, keeping Siya safe.

Fresh developments are emerging in realtor Ketan Agarwal's murder case as investigations have revealed that his fiancée, Siya Goyal, who is accused of murdering him, had taken Rs 1 crore from him and gave it to her lover, Chetan, the co-accused.

The money was sought in the name of wedding shopping. Police investigations have revealed that Siya gave the money to Chetan to further his career and business. Chaudhary, who came from a financially weak background, had told Goyal that it would take him at least three years to become stable.

Chetan and Siya reportedly agreed that after Ketan's murder, she would use family grief as a pretext to delay another wedding proposal for three years.

They had planned to marry once the Chaudharys were financially stable and the case was out of the public eye. Investigators say this timeline was part of a plan to avoid scrutiny and ultimately gain the approval of Goyal's family.

Cab driver who drove Siya to airport alleges abnormal behaviour

Another revelation in the case has been made by Vaibhav Jadhav, a cab driver who took Siya to the Mumbai airport from where she was scheduled to fly with Ketan to Bali for a pre-wedding shoot.

Jadhav said that Siya's behaviour was abnormal; she refused to even get into the car, and that's when her brother forced her into the cab. Later, Siya hid Ketan's passport, forcing the Bali trip to be cancelled.

Murder plot

According to the police, Ketan's murder was planned in advance and focused on ensuring Siya remained out of Ketan's reach while he was being pushed off the fort.

An officer said that according to the plan, Siya was to sit down and give the signal, after which Chaudhary was to come up and push Agarwal.

The two had decided that she would sit down, either to drink water or tie her shoelaces. The officer said that sitting down was the signal. However, it was also a deliberate move to keep Goyal safe.

According to a report by news agency PTI, the official said, "The signal was deliberately chosen so that Goyal would not be within reach of the victim while pushing. He was afraid that if Chetan pushed Ketan and Ketan tried to catch Siya while she was falling, she too might fall into the ditch."

Chaudhary also took great care to conceal his presence while following Siya and Ketan on June 18. Police said he deliberately travelled to Lohagarh Fort, a distance of approximately 90 kilometres, by scooter instead of car.

According to Jagran sources, Goyal spoke to Chaudhary on a "secret call" just 34 minutes before the murder, according to her call detail records.
