Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: In the latest development in the Ketan Agarwal murder case, the police found out that it was not Siya Goyal (20) who pushed Ketan (26) off the cliff. The killing was rather executed by Siya's secret lover Chetan Chaudhary (22) on June 18 in Pune's Lohagad fort. On Sunday, police officials recreated the crime scene and understood the nuances of the killing. It is also found that the two accused went for an Udaipur trip just weeks before her engagement. Police are attempting to find a connection between the trip and the murder.
What Did Crime-Scene Recreation Reveal?
The Pune Rural police officials reached the Lohagad fort with Siya during the early hours of Sunday and recreated the crime scene at the fortress using a dummy. While sharing the details of the killing, Siya claimed that she and Chetan conspired to kill her fiancée.
As part of the plan, Siya went to an elevated part of the fort and pretended to tie her shoe laces. This was the sign that Chetan was waiting for. As she bent down to tie the laces, Chetan approached Ketan from behind and pushed Ketan off the cliff.
Siya bent down so that Ketan would not be able to hold her while being pushed. The police officials alleged that Chetan came from behind and suddenly pushed Ketan, causing Ketan to lose his balance and fall into a ditch approximately 300 feet deep.
Ketan died on the spot. Police have recorded Siya's alleged confession and the entire incident during the crime scene reconstruction process. Meanwhile, the probe found out that the two accused, days before Ketan's murder, googled 'how to kill' in different ways.
Motorcycle Seized
News agency ANI reported that the Lonavala rural police have seized the motorcycle of the accused, Chetan Chaudhary, who allegedly used it to travel from Pune to Lohagarh Fort. The authorities have also recovered the hoodie and headphones that the accused wore on the day of the incident. Forensic examinations have been conducted on the motorcycle and clothing. Prior to this, Praveen Goyal and Pooja Goyal, the parents of the main accused, Siya Goyal, were questioned for hours.
Ketan Agarwal, the son of a wealthy businessman, was murdered on June 18 at the Lohagad fort. On social media, their reels, posts, and stories projected an image of a couple in love. But behind the public display of affection was a sinister plan that led to Ketan's killing.
