Ketan Agarwal Murder: Siya, Chetan Shift Blame As Pune Cafe Plot Comes To Light With CCTV Video

Ketan Agarwal Murder: The investigation into the murder of 26-year-old Ketan Agarwal has taken a turn, with his 20-year-old fiancee Siya Goyal and her 22-year-old lover Chetan Babulal Chaudhary now blaming each other for masterminding the crime.

The case made headlines after police arrested the two for killing Ketan by pushing him off a 400-foot gorge at Lohagad Fort in Pune. The murder took place on June 18, and a case of accidental death was registered as Siya informed the family that he fell off the cliff while taking photographs. Police sources cited by the Times of India, said that both Siya and Chetan are now accusing each other of plotting Ketan's murder.

Sia And Chetan Planned Ketan's Murder At Pune Cafe

According to the police, Chetan and Siya met at a cafe in Pune on June 18. During the meeting, they decided on how to kill Ketan by taking him to the fort. Chetan and Siya searched for a spot on the fort from where they could push Ketan. They duo planned the murder that morning and carried it out by noon.

Siya told her family that Ketan slipped from the fort and fell into the ditch. However, Siya's changing statements triggered suspicion, and Ketan’s family then zeroed in on Siya.

Siya's Family Was Aware Of Siya And Chetan's Relationship

Siya and Ketan got engaged in February and were scheduled to get married in a grand wedding ceremony at Udaipur in November, for which a palace had been booked. The probe also found that multiple attempts to kill Ketan were made, including one at Lohagad Fort, which did not materialise. Siya is also believed to have disappeared with Ketan's passport to cancel their Bali trip for a pre-wedding photoshoot.

A deeper probe into the alleged murder revealed that Siya's family was well aware of her relationship with Chetan, but disapproved of it as they did not consider the 22-year-old a suitable match. During interrogation, Siya disclosed that she chose not to elope with Chetan because it would "damage" her family's reputation, all while they were actively pressuring her to marry Ketan.
