'Siya Had An Unusual Behavior Before ..': What The FIR Reveals About Ketan Agarwal Murder Case

Ketan Agawal Murder Case: In the latest developments in the Ketan Agarwal murder case, the deceased's father Vishal Devichand Agarwal filed a First Information Report (FIR) which mentions that Siya Goyal (20) and her lover Chetan Chaudhary (22) allegedly killed Ketan (26) on June 18 at Pune's Lohagad fort. The legal document mentions how Siya behaved in an unusual way and remained annoyed for most of the time. The FIR said that Siya was upset that Ketan cancelled their Lohadgad trip on June 4; his mother did not allow the two to go there. However, the 20-year-old woman alleged she convinced her mother-in-law Rakhi Agarwal for the June 18 outing.

According to the details in the FIR, on June 17, Siya Goyal called Ketan on WhatsApp. She asked Ketan to convince the family about Lohagad. Ketan's mother, Rakhi Agarwal, initially refused to allow the trip, but Siya somehow managed to convince her.

The Eerie Day

During the early hours of June 18, Ketan left home, picked up Siya from Kiwale Bridge on the Pune-Mumbai Highway, and headed for Lohagad Fort. At 10:45 am, Siya called Ketan's mother and told her that Ketan had accidentally fallen into a ravine in the fort. With the help of locals and the police, Ketan was pulled from the ravine. By the time he arrived at the hospital, doctors declared him dead.

Accident Was Never Convincing

The accidental death never felt convincing to Ketan's family. On June 21, Ketan's father, Vishal Agarwal, along with other relatives, and friends Navdeep Jindal and Tarun Mittal went to the scene. They inspected the cliff and surrounding area and concluded that the possibility of an accidental slip from that spot was almost impossible. The family believes it was murder.

The FIR names both Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary and alleges that they murdered Ketan Agarwal because he became a hindrance in their relationship. The FIR, filed at the Lonavala Rural Police Station, alleges charges under the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
