'Killing Him Was Easier..': Did Siya's Family Know About Her Affair? What Probe Found

Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: In the latest development in the Ketan Agarwal murder case, the police revealed that Siya Goyal's family members knew about her relationship with Chetan Chaudhary. The Goyal family found out about Siya and Chaudhary's relationship during a community cricket match in January. During the interrogation, Siya revealed that her family did not approve of the relationship, as his financial condition does not match with her family's. During interrogation, Siya's brother Sahil Goyal claimed that he was aware of her relationship with Chetan. During the 10-hour-long interrogation, the officers continued grilling him to reveal whether the other family members were aware of the relationship or not.

Why Did She Dislike Ketan?

During questioning, Siya told police officers that she disliked Ketan, as he used a hair patch on his head. The 20-year-old woman further claimed that she did not want to go against her family's wishes and that killing Ketan was easier than confronting her family.

To this, Ketan's father alleged that wearing a hair patch cannot be a valid reason for the murder. Furthermore, he claimed that if Siya disliked Ketan so much, she could have called off the marriage instead of killing him.

Probe Revealed Fresh Details

In the forensic test, it was found that both Chetan and Siya had deleted their chats, which took place before and after the killing of Ketan. The recovered chats also revealed that Chetan and Siya shared over 2000 calls for the last six months.

The investigation also revealed that the two accused, Siya and Chetan, met at a cafe on June 18 to finalize their plan. The two secret lovers also decided the spot in Lohagarh Fort from where Ketan was to be pushed down.

Police claim that Chaudhary initially denied being near the cliff, but his statement was proven false during questioning. According to police, Siya sat down and made a prearranged gesture, after which Chaudhary allegedly approached Agarwal from behind and pushed him into the ravine.

According to Siya's mother, the 20-year-old accused did not want to go to the Lohagad Fort. On June 17, Ketan asked Siya to accompany him to the fort. Initially, she did not want to go trekking, as she had an event the next day and wanted to rest.
