Ketan Murder Case: Police Recover Chetan's Bike, Hoodie; Old Video Shows Him With Siya At Cricket Match | Watch

The investigation into the murder of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal at Lohagad Fort in Lonavala continues to uncover new evidence. On Sunday, police seized the two-wheeler allegedly used by the prime accused, Chetan Chaudhary, to travel from Pune to the fort. 

Investigators also recovered the hoodie and headphones he was reportedly wearing at the time of the crime. According to Lonavala Rural Police, the motorcycle seized with clothes and other accessories has been taken for forensic investigation.

Meanwhile, an old video featuring Ketan's fiance, Siya Goyal, and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary has surfaced online. The video is said to date back to the early days of their friendship, which reportedly began during a cricket match in which Siya's brother, Shahil, was playing.

In the video, Siya and Chetan can be seen in blue Indian cricket team jerseys together watching the match from the stands and cheering the players. Investigators believe the two grew close after meeting at the match, with their friendship eventually developing into a romantic relationship.

What Did Siya’s Brother Reveal?

According to police, another accused, Chetan Chaudhary, and Siya's brother, Sahil, knew each other.  The Police officials interrogated Sahil for more than 10 hours on June 26.  During the investigation, Sahil admitted he knew about Chetan, while her parents had previously stated they knew nothing about him.

Sahil told police that Siya used to attend his cricket matches and that's where she first met Chetan. According to the police, they later met again at a common friend's Diwali party last year, after which they came close.

According to sources, call detail records between the two show they have had over 2,000 phone conversations since January, with a total call duration of approximately 238 hours.

Chats Deleted

Police allege that Siya and Chetan later conspired to murder Ketan by pushing him off Lohagad Fort. Reportedly, to destroy evidence, the two allegedly deleted their WhatsApp and Instagram messages in order to get rid of proof against themselves. 

Both are currently in police custody and are being questioned. Forensic analysis of the deleted data is now underway to recover the complete record of their conversations. 

According to police sources, while being interrogated, Siya Goyal told investigators that she did not wish to marry Ketan and killing him seemed easier as compared to informing her family and cancelling the wedding that was to take place this November.

However, the families of both Siya Goyal and Ketan Agarwal have denied any knowledge of Siya's alleged relationship with Chetan, maintaining they were unaware of his existence until the case came to light.

What Did Siya's Family Say?

Sahil also told the police that if his sister had not agreed, his family would have called off the marriage. Her mother, Pooja Goyal, stated that her daughter never expressed any resentment and had never seen or spoken to Chetan. However, Siya's lawyer stated that she and Chetan were just friends.
